A quick roundup of events I’ll be taking part in over the next few months. Apart from the regular Ouse Muses (16th May and 20th June) you’ll find me reading in the following venues. 8th May Hammer and Tongue Cambridge where I will try my hand at slamming for only the third time. 15th May Barbican Library for the launch of the latest issue of Long Poem Magazine – I’m very pleased to have a poem in this great publication, the reading is 6.30pm at the Barbican Library on Silk St – free admission. In early June as part of Stony Live there are two readings in Stony Stratford – one on the 4th at the library which I hope to make and one on the 7th in the evening at The Crown, organised by the Bard of Stony, Richard Frost, there I will definitely be performing. Looking further out I’ll be reading on stage on the final Saturday of Bedfringe – on the outside stage on Silver St at 11.30am and in the library foyer some time between 12-2pm.
In the Autumn we are planning a massive poetry attack on Bedford Central Library during the morning of National Poetry Day, 3rd October, please drop by between 10am-1pm. There will also be an event which I am co-hosting at Putnoe Library that evening at 7pm. Also look out for the TBA dates for launch of my collection Intermittent beings, from Cinnamon Press.
As usual for a more regular and rounded update on poetry events in the Bedford area why not sign up to the Ouse Muse newsletter – cunningly named Muse News – here.
